Update SHWJ Registration

You have been directed to this page because one or more required items have not been submitted, or have not been submitted according to the criteria below. As a result, your account status is set to ‘Registration incomplete’.

As long as the required information has not been provided correctly and in the requested manner, you are NOT registered as a housing applicant and you are NOT building up any waiting time.

1. Missing or invalid Huren in Holland Rijnland registration number

You have either not provided a registration number for Huren in Holland Rijnland, or the number you provided does not exist.

Please log in to your account on mijn.shwj.nl and update your Huren in Holland Rijnland registration number as follows:

  • Go to (1) ‘Edit details’
  • Select (2) the ‘N.A.W. details’ tab
  • Scroll down (3)
  • Enter your registration number in (4) ‘Huren in Holland Rijnland number’
  • Click (6) ‘Save and next’ to continue and complete the process

2. Missing or invalid selfie

The selfie is missing, or you have uploaded an invalid selfie.

You have uploaded an ID card, driver’s license, or passport. These documents are not accepted as a selfie.
A selfie must be a photo of one person only.

You can upload a selfie only via the ‘Selfie’ or ‘Replace Selfie’ button.

Please log in to your account on mijn.shwj.nl and upload your selfie as follows:

  • Go to (1) ‘Edit details’
  • Select (2) the ‘N.A.W. details’ tab
  • Scroll down (3)
  • Upload your selfie via (5) ‘Selfie’ or ‘Replace Selfie’
    (Make sure that only you are visible in the photo)

You can adjust your settings on both mobile and desktop devices.
When making changes on a mobile device, you may need to scroll more, and it can sometimes appear as if the page has not changed, because each page starts with the registration overview.

For this reason, we recommend that you do not update your settings or upload attachments on a mobile device, but instead use a laptop or desktop computer.

I have updated everything — what happens next?

Once you have updated all required information, we will usually review your changes within a few weeks.
If everything has been submitted correctly, your status will be updated to ‘Housing applicant’.
